Khadija Osman, born in Mogadishu, Somalia, to a Somali Muslim family now lives in Toronto, Ontario, with her partner Louisa Jean and their daughter Fatoumatta. Her journey out of the closet as a Muslim woman from the Horn of Africa hasn't been easy. It has strengthened her to empower other black lesbians and bisexual black women in the Muslim faith and beyond.
