Many years ago, the final battle of the Olde War left the Kingdoms devastated. The Emperor disappeared, the North is nothing but a desolate wasteland, and the South has been cut off from the Great One, seemingly entirely. Now, to prevent anything like it from happening again, all those with Magik are forced to register and train under the ever-watchful eye of the Order, ruled from within by those known as the 'Wardens'. But not everyone has been compliant.Elian Fitzgerald has been in the Order for almost as long as he could remember. As a child, he was taken away from his only family and had been placed into the care of one of the greatest Sorcerers who had ever walked the Earth. Now, he is almost ready to be called a Master himself, but there is one thing left to do.'Corruptions' are the last vestiges of the Olde War; Humans that stray from their perfect innocence. They are defiled, evil things, that could destroy what little is left of the Kingdoms. The problem arises when two are created, and only one is found. Now, Elian must leave his Master for the first time in his life and go out on his own to find the Whicche, Vera who is travelling to one of the last sacred places that remain.But his travels do not go exactly as expected, along the way, he meets a Human. Could it be that everything they have ever known was wrong? What will he do when the Human child shows signs of powerful Magik? What will he do when he finds out that he has been betrayed?
