Ludwig was the world's largest drum company in two eras: the 1920s under the direction of founder William F Ludwig Sr, and the 1960s under the direction of William F Ludwig II. The book also serves as a dating guide for Ludwig drums and includes information on every catalogued snare drum and drum outfit as well as all standard production features; color, shell, lug, strainer, badge, hoop, etc.
