The Lost Countess

Alex's summer is not going as expected.



After the loss of her father, her mother feels that it is important for Alex to reconnect with her grandmother and her ancestral home in Hungary. She is whisked away to a foreign land for the summer.



While exploring the attic in her grandmother's old house, Alex stumbles upon a secret entrance to another time and place. 



She is transported to a turbulent time in her own family's past. What started out as a boring holiday has evolved into a struggle for survival as she grapples with assassination attempts on her life, while avoiding an unwanted marriage.



Alex's unpleasant introduction to her fiancée evolves into a friendship as the two teens are thrown together in a world of war and conspiracies.



Will she be able to return to her own time? Can she outwit the assassin who lurks around every corner? What other conspiracies bubble below the surface? What will become of her newfound love?
