The Loss Chronicle

Alice's nightgown illuminated in the candle light, as she stepped slowly towards the hallway. She could hear her heart pounding loudly in her ears, as her bare feet touched the cold wooden floor of the hallway. Carefully, she carried the candle in front of her. The candle seemed to be her only guide through the darkness, of the house. A brisk whistling could be heard as the wind blew through the open door, the wind was jagged and icy as it hit Alice's face. She slowly turned the corner to see a figure covered in blood standing in the doorway.She was frozen she couldn't move as the figure locked eyes with her, the figure's eyes were cold shards frozen in blackness. The figure looked demonic as it stood there staring at her, turning its head back and forth slowly as if it was observing her. Alice's bottom lip begin to quiver and she let out a piercing scream. After this point, nothing will ever be the same for Alice...
