Matthew 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
Jesus speaks of a gathering of 2 or 3 gathered together in His name and He is there in the midst.
What kind of gathering is this meant to be?
Could this gathering have evolved over time with the advancement of science and technology?
Do we still retain the physical assembly of men and women who are bound by salvation through faith in Christ Jesus?
Or do we expand this narrative to either the media or different templates of human convergence?
This is the cry of this book. As we look at the Local Church in today's world.
Today's world definitely has experienced new things, scientifically, innovation-wise, that I believe was not foreseen even by writers of Scriptures.
Are we allowed to amend the intention and the message of the assembly of the saints in Christ? Either from the Old Testament books through the Four Gospels into the epistles. Are we allowed to amend them in such a way that it will suit today's fancies, fashion, and innovations? Or are we not?
This is the engagement of this book, as we trust that the believer who reads this will see through the eyes of scriptures and come to the full realization and importance of the local assembly.
We trust that as we study this together, our minds are open by the revelation found in the Lord Jesus Christ, to view, serve, appreciate, and honour the local assembly of believers.
