The Life of Riley

Riley's dream of becoming a holiday rep is slowly becoming a reality. Following a nerve-fuelled 'X Factor' type interview day with tour operator, Hightail Holidays, she hears the words she's waited for since she was a little girl. Little does she realise that she's about to discover the girl of her dreams, too. Keri is the manager delivering Riley's induction training (working hard and playing harder for a whole week) and quite unexpectedly, the girls end up kissing on a night out. They quickly become smitten. And although separated due to their different work commitments, Riley and Keri know that this is a strong mutual connection that cannot be ignored. When Keri's jealous ex, Emma, finds out about their relationship, she hatches a plan to split the lovebirds up, and succeeds. Crushed, the two women try to move on with their lives and forget the pain. Riley throws herself into her new job and tries to enjoy the summer she has dreamt of for so long. Sharing a room with workmate, 'sex-obsessed' Ben, brings all kinds of frustration, humour and toe-curling antics. And when her best friend Cara visits, Riley's life becomes a series of comical predicaments and disasters that help her see the funny side of life as she tries to mend her broken heart. Hurting just as much as Riley, Keri is trying (through gritted teeth) to accept the 'help' her friends are offering - from blind dates and lesbian sexual positions on booze cruises to honorary aunts to take care of her - but deep down she knows she can never move on from Riley. Will Riley make it in her dream job? Will she and Keri be able to move on without each other? Will the truth about the saboteur finally come out?
