It began in 1878, long before any of us were born. And today the Legend of Roaring Gorge remains the most compelling piece of lore to ever come out of northeast Georgia's Cohutta Mountains. Here is a legend that speaks of a vengeful moment and its consequences, which to this day arouse the imagination.
