Why are we here in the badlands? Why are we made to suffer like this? Is this a test or are we in some sort of prison? If so, why are we locked in a prison, or what are we tested for? Will the last gate open once we passed the test? Why is the last gate locked? Who is controlling the badlands? Why do the carcasses of the slain enemies disappear? How is it that going through a gate brings you to a new landscape? What is behind the last gate?
