Beskrivelse
The Land of Thirty Three and a Third is a novel about a young author, Jeff Wildermarsh, who is suffering from a past where delusions meet his reality in a place he calls "The Land," a place he goes when he dreams. Jeff soon learns that he becomes a semi-quasi time traveler, with the help of a talking record player which he digs out of the trash one morning. The record player takes on a monstrous persona, as well as having kin to what's inside of Jeff's head. Jeff is a likable, yet a gone young chap from the New England town of Pristol. He is obsessed with the Paul is Dead conspiracy and the meaning behind the art of Sgt. Pepper. As Jeff dives into his convenient enigmas, he comes across the number 33 1/3, the revolutions a record spins per minute. Riddles and paradoxes are born out of his surreal imagination. Subliminal suggestions take Jeff to the inner workings of a severe mental breakdown, and the need to rise from its perilous captivity.
