The Lady and the Jester and the Stonecutter

This fully illustrated children's picture book contains two fairytale style stories set in the Middle Ages. They are both written in rhymes and both feature illustrations made from cut pieces of colored felt. The first story is called "The Lady and the Jester" and it tells the tale of a love that can overcome social barriers. The second story is a rhyming retelling of the traditional folktale, "The Stonecutter," about a man who learns that money and power are not the best goals in life. Both stories can help children think about what's important in their own lives.
