Erilyn has done what she set out to do-tracked down the wylden-but at what cost? Divided, the light that once tied them together broken, Erilyn and Finn must find their way back to each other. However, forces beyond their control are determined to keep them apart. As Erilyn works with the wylden to try and win her friends' freedom, danger brews within the earth. The people of Citadel are coming, intent on conquering the upworld, and they plan to start in Ringol. Imprisoned and alone, Finn finds himself at the mercy of wylden guards. Meanwhile, Morrigan bides her time in captivity, waiting for a chance to escape so she can have her revenge. Will Erilyn and her friends find their way together again?
