What is behind the strange sightings in the skies over this little Iowa town? An experimental military drone, or a UFO, as some witnesses claim? And why has nearby Rittenberg Air Force Base suddenly gone on security lockdown? The Wings Diner is abuzz with rumors as a black C-17 cargo plane with no tail number identification lands in the middle of the night. The timing of all this could not be worse for Rittenberg's commanding officer, Colonel Max "Texas" Truston, as the airbase is about to celebrate its 75th anniversary with an airshow featuring the U.S. Air Force's elite demonstration team, the world famous Thunderbirds. Soon a young boy, his grandfather, and a private investigator from Chicago find themselves engulfed in a thrilling adventure involving an old bi-plane, fighter jets, a mysterious craft, and dangerous encounters with a super-secret federal intervention unit.
