The Journey to Healing

Dear Reader, Growing up, I believed that it was wrong for me to want more out of life; that I had to follow the path that others expected of me. That led me down a road feeling lost, and alone...quite literally stuck climbing a mountain of fear, doubt, guilt, and shame. If you can relate to this, know that you are not alone. I see you, and I feel you I spent years struggling, thinking that I needed to follow the rules that other people wanted me to follow, the ones that told me how to think and feel, and who to be. This got me nowhere, and left me fighting through an abusive relationship, chronic health issues, depression, and feeling as though that vision for the life I truly wanted to live was way beyond achieving. I came to realize: I was so focused on what everyone else wanted, I forgot to sit down and think about me. I forgot to listen to my heart, while my head was telling me all sorts of crazy things, like "I can't" and "I shouldn't" and "this is too scary." Self-love, I realized, was the critical piece missing in my journey. In my new book, The Journey to Healing: Love, Yourself, I am going to talk with you about the power of self-love.
