The XREAL Series is set against the backdrop of what we all know is coming.

The world is shut-down, buried under toxic smog, and above the swirling murk of The City and the wider Bay Area, the Pierspoint Building has become a prison for its residents. Two such inmates, Jake and Carrie, lovers and cellmates, are on the brink of suffocation-induced loathing. And while Jake, tired of virtual FakeReal worlds and distant calls with distant friends, breaks the curfew to escape Carrie and climbs to the roof of the Pierspoint for the chance to catch a patch of blue above the smog, Carrie is looking elsewhere for companionship, as she virtually invites a virtual stranger into her very real home.
