The Italian Conspiracy

A spate of shipping casualties have rocked the London Insurance market and left them with claims amounting to millions of dollars. In an attempt to track down what they suspect is a gang of international ship scuttlers they appoint a team of marine casualty investigators to seek out the truth. The Bureau suspect they are being watched and bring in outsider, Scott Allison, survivor of a shipwreck, acting on their behalf in a clandestine investigation. Scott's attempt to track down the perpetrators of these suspected marine frauds leads him down blind alleys and prompts two attempts on his life when the criminal gang think he may be getting too close. It isn't until the gang plan the biggest maritime heist of all time that Scott finally gets a breakthrough, which brings him face to face with the man who masterminds these crimes.
