The Invisible Cult in Choctaw County is the third novel in The Pilot and The Pianist Mystery Series, which is the fifth series of novels for MW Burdette. This mystery features Neal Bush Todd, a retired fighter pilot, and Claire Cavendish, a descendant of the famous Cavendishes of Great Britain. When one of your ancestors is a Lord, another a Duke, and a third the Prime Minister of Great Britain great things are expected of you. Even being a child prodigy in music wasn't enough for Claire to feel as if she had made her mark in the world. Butch and Claire have help solve murders in their hometown of Ashburn, Alabama, as well as in the Holy City of Charleston, South Carolina. While on vacation in South Alabama, Butch is invited to help solve the mysterious murder of one of his former Afghanistan friends who had become the Sheriff of Choctaw County. Cult history and superstition creates problems for Butch and Claire as they delve into the invisible world of the occult to help solve the murder of Chief Conrad Phillips, the sheriff of Choctaw County, Alabama.
