This hitchhiker is like no person Stanley has ever met or even heard about and has answers no one has even been able to answer. I truly believe this book is going to change the world. I recently recommended it to a friend when I was starting it again for the third time. I was slightly worried because she's extremely religious and I'm extremely atheist. Although she and I have wildly different perspectives, we both gained a level of spirituality that we didn't have before. That's truly what I think makes this book so enlightening. No matter which perspective you're reading it from (science, religion, or completely neutral) and no matter where you're at on your journey to becoming a better person, it has something for you.
Haley Willis This modern-day parable was like a gentle, but powerful gut punch to my essence as I, like Stanley, am on the journey to find out just who I am and what the meaning and purpose of my life is in this realm.
Guy V. Barnes This is an extraordinary book, and deserves to be as widely read as Bach's "Illusions" or Pirsig's "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance". It also reminds me of Paulo Coelho's best book "The Pilgrimage", but is less artificial or contrived.
Irusan Really enjoyed this elevating and humorous tale reminiscent of The Peaceful Warrior. Finished it in one read and now I can't wait to dive into Part 2 and Part 3!
William G. The book took me on a trip I hadn't been on since Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. This however is a book for today's economic and cultural climate. And as both a book and a character, Jeff is quite approachable and uniquely alluring.
