Originally written as an unpublished, unproduced screenplay, The Importance of Being an Alcoholic is a comedy, sports story about the unlikely hero, Billy Banks. Based off actual events, the comedic action is told by BIlly's success in an 8-ball pool tournament in Milwaukee. He's the best bar pool player in Milwaukee and maybe even in the Midwest, but it's no secret that Billy is only good at pool when he is drunk. Hilarity ensues as do the countless whiskey shots.
