Esther's life is going nowhere after she dropped out of uni, while her friends seem to have it all. She's still single, working in a pet shop, and smoking way too much weed. 

 

When she's roped into her friend's 30th birthday trip to Mexico City, Esther dares to strike out on her own... and is drawn into a quest for self-discovery and lost origins that takes her across oceans, cultures, and even time, to find answers.
