This feels funny writing to you, but Grandfather insisted it was the best way to keep in touch now you are at school every day. The thing is, he has persuaded me (or to be honest, bullied me) into going with Great Aunt Nettie in her car through France and across the sea to Ibiza.

He's the one who should be going, not me, he went on about it being good for my education, and all that wallop about Nettie needed a companion, and he's too big to fit into her car and work the pedals.



But .... Grandfather is a good old stick and likes to laugh a lot, so we might have a good time round the edges. He's going to deliver this to you, and I promise to write a journal for you every day.
