The House on Pampanga Street

On December 6, 1941, a new wave of madness hit the world, as the Army of the "Empire of the Rising Sun" commenced the occupation of the Philippines, to be followed the next day by the infamous attack on the US naval base of Pearl Harbor, a cowardly act that spread the fires of conflict worldwide, leading to the death of nearly 52 million people. Deep inside the nocturnal island of Luzon lived a humble baker, father of eight, named Cirilo Cabrera Sr., who had just huddled his family in serenity and safety of the province, away from the hostile shores of the ocean, and the inevitable Japanese invasion. Little did he know that it was his destiny to be unwittingly thrown in the middle of the bloodiest conflict ever recorded, and along the way bestowed with secrets that would guide Allied forces decisions on the use of new, horrific super weapons, de-facto sealing the fate of millions, ushering a new, and frightful page in mankind's history.
