Beskrivelse
Dysingli Soon lived in the year 1241 AD. His travels across Eurasia entailed a variety of historical, fictional and fantasy characters. The story began as a fan fiction contribution to The Mongoliad.com project circa 2011-12 and expanded to encompass its own adventurous style. The author now calls herself "THE BARD OF KLADOSH-TIKIVRA" in referencing how she came to know the wonderful horse farm of Simcolek Soon. Imagine an alternate world of 13th century history where cultures in the area now known as Ukraine are blending, developing, and creating rebellious plots to repel the frequent threat of the invading Mongolians. Whose side are we on? Certainly the orphans, laundry washers, martial arts teachers, rag salesmen, horse traders, and the widows, who all play a large part in this story. From a brave escape involving a Turkish theatre group to a mutiny on a sailing ship in the Black Sea, this book offers likeable but vulnerable characters, colorful adventures, and Silk Road settings. Did someone lose a soldier during the Crusades? Dysingli Soon found him in the captivity of the Mongolians, rescued him, and nursed him back to health. A little bit of magic and Mongolian myth spices up this tale of harsh but enterprising times where it seemed ANYTHING might happen; not so very different from 2020 after all.
