Beskrivelse
Whether Gale is having a honeymoon is questionable. She is spending more time with another man, T. Price Smith, her friend and financial adviser, than with Derek, her groom. But she is definitely sleeping with secrets from Derek. She has never told him about the private London bank she partly owns, leaving it to T. Price to oversee. At her wedding reception, T. Price gives her the bad news that the bank might be in trouble. She has to escape from the daily trips to trials at the Old Baily and dinners at the Inns of Court with his solicitor friend, which had made Derek suggest London for the honeymoon. She convinces Derek that she would enjoy sightseeing and shopping more, which frees her days to work with T. Price to save the bank from crooks. She has a few days of honeymoon left after they succeed, including a cruise home.
Derek begins to wonder who he's married after two sudden shocks -- one when she dives into the ocean and brings up the body of a man who's fallen overboard from the deck above where they are enjoying the ocean, and the other when he wakes to a gunshot when he's sleeping in their cabin.
Gale had not deliberately kept it a secret from Derek that she had been trained in deep water rescue; this didn't seem like anything important in landlocked Orlando.. But the gunshot was another matter. She worked with the ship's captain to cover up this un-Disney World-like occurrence. Gale reported that the intruder's gun had gone off when she had hidden behind the door after hearing noises outside, and tripped him as he entered. The captain's story was that this was a burglar who had taken a chance that Gale might have kept the fabulous necklace she wore for dinner at the Captain's table in her cabin.
It was some honeymoon!
