The Hollows

The Hollows was a mystery to Kat St. Claire and her younger brother Bobby. Their parents never discussed the mountain town where they were from. Nor had they ever mentioned their families. All Kat knew was that her mother’s sister Abigail had sent her the charm she wore around her neck as a present for her thirteenth birthday. She’d worn it for the past three years, her parents saying that she couldn’t take it off for safety. It is a white-gold pentagram within a circle. There are those that believe it is a Talisman…said to ward off the mystic pull of the moon and prevent lycanthropy. On the back of the charm is etched a simple phrase in Latin: Cave Canum which translates to ‘Beware the dog’ if you can believe it.

Kat always thought that the whole thing was a load of crap. In the days ahead she would find out just how wrong a girl could be….
