The Highlands of Heaven: Th e Messiah and His Kingdom to Come

The belief that one day a Divine Being will come and live among us on earth is believed by most of the world's major religions, and by a myriad of indigenous religions too. But only in the Jewish and Christian bibles do we find a wealth of descriptive and explanatory scripture about this God-man, the Messiah.

In Hinduism there is the story of the god, Vishnu, coming back in the last cycle of time as a figure whose coming will look like a tremendous comet, riding a white horse and carrying a sword to destroy the forces of evil. And in Islam, the end of this age is referred to as the Hour and involves the Messiah (Issa) returning to slay an evil, worldwide ruler, who has put the planet in peril. With this evil dictator out of the picture, a period of perfect harmony will ensue. -- And a myriad of indigenous beliefs also mention our Maker coming from heaven to bring peace and harmony to our world. -- Judaism and Christianity refer to this divine being as the Messiah, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. In the Bible, frequent mentions of this Holy Savior are described in magnificent details, unlike in anyother religious texts.

The Creator of Existence is coming back and bringing righteousness and peace to a cleansed and beautified new earth. -- The ancient prophets of all major faiths have made this prediction about the coming of a holy, heavenly ruler who will put an end to evil, and restore the earth to its fullest beauty. This righteous Ruler will descend to earth at just the right moment when all seems lost. He will triumph over evil and all who practice it. Those who eagerly receive Him will be blessed and welcomed into His earthly Kingdom.

Within this book, is a crowd of ancient promises and predictions about the very time in which we now live. What we see happening in the world around us is all right there!
