Twelve-year-old Morgan makes it her mission to rescue the animal shelter that saved her dog. Meanwhile, a thousand miles away, a thief steals a precious ruby from a museum's Houdini exhibit. Unaware of the magic it holds, he hides the jewel inside a stuffed toy that mistakenly becomes a school carnival prize. When Morgan receives the toy, her adventure begins as she is forced to pit her surprising new magical abilities against a thief determined to recover the ruby.
