Repentance and forgiveness are the essence of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is a principle that offers hope, expectation and encouragement to every believer. The power of forgiveness brings great joy and peace to us. This infinite miracle is a direct result of the great mediation and atonement of Jesus Christ. This reconciliation, where Jesus through His own choice paid the price of our sins and mistakes, sanctifies and purifies us. It is indeed the greatest miracle of all miracles. Faith in Jesus Christ teaches us that it is worth everything to continually cleanse and purify our lives through repentance. It is because of our faith in Him that we have the power to receive His forgiveness. The great blessing and miracle is that you and I have the very same power given to us. It is this inner power of forgiveness that changes lives. We are most like Jesus Christ when we forgive another person.
