This study will explore how the Harlem Renaissance gave birth to the current genre called, "Hip Hop" yet, due to its inability to establish its mission, vision, and purpose as a movement, the Harlem Renaissance died as swiftly as it boomed, leaving the state of Hip Hop likened unto a neglected orphan without a blueprint for success.
