"The Great Ball Game" tells the tale of the stick ball match between the four-footed animals and birds (long before humans). This Cherokee legend describes the magical transformation of field mice once they obtain wings and it contains an embedded life lesson of inclusion and anti-bullying. The story is written in mnemonic form in order to make it easy to read and recall. I think children and adults alike will find the story-line entertaining.
