THE GIRL SCOUT MURDERS : A Tragic Tale of Abuse, Betrayal, Mystery, and Heartache

On June 13, 1977, a horrifying crime left an entire community in shock. In the small town of Locust Grove which is located in the state of Oklahoma, three young Girl Scouts, Lori Farmer, Michelle Guse, and Doris Milner, left for two weeks of fun at Camp Scott in Mayes County. Their parents hoped they would return at the end of the two weeks.

Guse and Farmer were the two girls that were most excited to attend the camp out of the three. Milner, on the other hand, was feeling a great deal of anxiety and was hesitating about leaving the house. Although she had already made up her mind not to go, her mother was able to convince her to reconsider. On the first day of camp, these girls with bright futures were brutally killed in the woods while camping. Lori Farmer was just 8 years old; Michelle Guse was 9, and Doris Milner was 10 years old. In spite of the extensive investigation that was conducted, the crime has not been solved to this day, which has left the town with a pervasive sense of unease.
