Bhutan is a small country in the Himalayas. It was once an inseparable part of Tibet and embraced Buddhism. It wasn't until around 1960 that it opened - bringing development and modernization to the country. The entire history of Bhutan is told from the earliest times up to present, with main emphasis on the period after 1960. The book is easily read with many illustrations. Written by a Danish historian with a long experience in writing and editing books in history and social science.
