The Fragility of Life and Love in Any Language

The three Benson families are living their usual, unchecked, upper-middle-class lives when the dread of a trio of medical diagnoses involving Alzheimer's Disease, autism, and Cancer abruptly strike at the family's core. Simultaneously, the youngest Benson son, recently diagnosed with late-onset autism, is also discovered to be a child musical prodigy by a world-class, award-winning, concert pianist, who becomes his musical coach. Meanwhile, the Benson's friends, Vinny and Angie Armalatto, are spearheading their excellent future for their family in the American Dream as Vinny continues aspiring to higher state office as the candidate running for Lieutenant Governor. In the space of one year, and despite possessing great wealth and political power, each family is forced to face the harsh realities of repressed prejudices, defining true success, human sexuality, erroneous decisions, hope and despair, accepting diversity, and coming to terms with the absolute and incontestable fragility of human life.
