The European Union's Foreign and Security Policy is aimed at a substantial crises prevention and management, as well as the efficacious building and restoration of peace, democracy and sociopolitical stability in all the "danger zones" within its jurisdiction. Moreover, its foremost concern is the establishment of effective economic and trade relations with partners all over the globe. In this book, the overall functioning of the European Union's Foreign and Security Policy is being critcally examined, the Union's relations with the USA and Russia are being meticulously analyzed, the dominant economic and trade partners are being systematically presented and the principal events that resulted in destabilizations from the end of World War II, to the recent crises in Ukraine, Crimea, the Middle East and North Africa are being rigorously scrutinized. The first edition of this book was published in Greek by Historical Quest in 2015. It was translated into English and updated by the author himself in 2019.
