The Fire and the Rose

A many-layered weave of romances explores the love of Paige, an eighteen-year-old highschool girl, for a charming Algerian terrorist; of her mother for a lesbian FBI Agent; and of a reclusive gay photographer for a model whose inordinate physical beauty hides a sadly twisted mind. Framing their stories are the conflicts of an international Finnish-American tycoon and playboy, Amyas Kovanen, caught between his fascination with the reclusive photographer's eccentric theories of art and life and the unbearable purity of Paige's soul.
