Beskrivelse
The Fifth Dimension is the result of a course on aesthetics and neuroaesthetics created and directed by the architect, composer, artist and philosopher Emanuel Dimas de Melo Pimenta in the years of 1997 and 1998 at the Childhood Education Institute of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, in Lisbon, Portugal. They are thirty books in fourteen volumes. Now, in this eighth volume, we return to Sumeria, to Acadia, to launch ourselves into Kabbalah and unravel a little of the mysterious universes of Plotino, of the fabulous painter Mani, of Augustine, of Saint Benedict, of Bernard of Clairvaux, Suger and Cluny, magic numbers of Fibonacci, Cimabue and the divine Giotto. Where the material and the immaterial dominate Each volume is a different field in this formidable universe that is the Fifth Dimension. The set of books that make up this project deals with the metamorphosis of the human thought, over thousands of years, going through culinary, the universe of perfumes, of the music, of ideas and the history of art.
