The Few

Nathaniel Robinson Searles, a professor of psychology at a small liberal arts college discovers through his unique research that telesentience (immediate awareness of the thoughts of others0 is far more wide-spread in the population than anyone expected. His results become known, and soon the 21st century national security implications of his work engulf him and his rsearch. He become aware of a world-wide but opaque organization of telesentients, so at 1% of the population they call them The Few. With the agreement of NSA, CIA, DoD, and State he accepts an invitation to a scientific conference in Moscow, where Russian parapsychology meets Soviet era telesentience, creating the makings of an international incident, with implications very relevant to today's world.
