The Face of The Earth is a poetry collection incapsulating the meaning vulnerability in all its forms presented through grief, immigration, cultural homelessness, and love. Told in memory fragments, stories, and ills I've imagery, Al-Qaragolie marries love and loss amongsides gender roles, and societal expectations to form the closets representation of living as an arab Muslim girl. With war, family, and victimhood overpowering the themes of this poetry collection, Al-Qaragolie paints a realistic bittersweet picture of the expat experience of being a post war child and first generation immigrant.
