"Gold Fever "--"The first major gold rush was in Auraria, Georgia, not in California. Fever--nowhere is the connotation of that word so well understood the world over than when connected with GOLD. Nowhere is our planet immune and nowhere can you find a finer aggregate of the fever skillfully used as a backdrop in a tale that dovetails real history. "The Eye of the Eagle " is a story of the first major gold rush and some of the resulting tragedy suffered by the Cherokee Indians because of the white man's greed.
