Gabrela Oman Monford receives a scary telephone call at work at Cherie Books in Paris France. The call is from the mother of Amelia Sakes, the English Teacher (really from England) of Gabrela and Duenna when they were in high school. Amelia taught them in Burlington, VT. Their daugher is missing. She never came home and went into work for some time. The four going out of their way to aide people decide to go including Officer Hauns they aides they lately. They have no idea where this path will take them.
