Beskrivelse
Michaela Vais, Ela, stopped eating meat when she was six years old and became fully vegan in 2011. This decision came from a combination of considerations, including ethics, health, and sustainability as well as a life-long admiration of nature and animals. In her own words: "Going vegan was the best decision in my life. Knowing that I don't participate in the torture and exploitation of farm animals brought inner peace to myself. I feel much more energized since eating plant-based food, I lost some weight, and I cured my cystic acne!"
Ela creates healthy and delicious vegan recipes for her blogging audience and this cookbook is filled with recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and everything in-between. Lovingly photographed, this cookbook also features ingredient shots for every single recipe, so readers can immediately see what they need to buy in order to get cooking! Ela's goal is to show that eating plant-based food is healthy, delicious, and good for both our bodies and for our planet. What sets the ElaVegan brand apart from all others is the originality of her recipes, how easy they are to follow, and the extremely delicious and super healthy results. A lot of the recipes in this book are also allergy-friendly. They are always vegan (dairy-free, egg-free) and gluten-free, and many are soy-free as well. Just a few recipes contain nuts, soy, or corn; however, there are always substitutions suggested to make sure everyone can enjoy!
With recipes like banana baked oatmeal for breakfast, hearty lentil stew for dinner, and zucchini brownies for dessert, The ElaVegan Cookbook truly has a recipe for every occasion with a range of dishes with a wide variety of both savory meals and sweet treats.
