Beskrivelse
The study examined the impact of planning and control on organizational Performance. To achieve the objective of this study, four dimensions were drawn from the planning and control, which includes: contingency planning, tactical planning, operational control, human and machine control, and were used to measure organizational Performance. Sample sizes of two hundred and thirty-two (232) respondents were computed from the population of five hundred and fifty (550) staff, using Taro Yamen's formula. Questionnaires were administered to respondents in line with the sample size. The 232 administered questionnaires were all retrieved and were used for the analysis. Data collections were further analysed using correlation and multiple regression analysis for the test of hypothesis. The findings show that the dimensions of planning and control explained 78% of the variability of organizational Performance. However, necessary recommendations were provided. It was recommended that plans should be simple to understand and not ambiguous because complexity of plans leads to confusion and impossibility of accomplishment.
