The Edge of Heaven Set in the nineteenth century in the glorious Lakelands of Cumbria, England, in the midst of a mining and farming community. A story of love and unsettling passions, relating to two very different young women and the men in their lives. The discontented Megan Greenward, who has spent all her life on her fathers farm and longs for change and excitement. And her cousin, Christa Sheridan, a warm-hearted girl, wild and audacious, with a fiercely independent spirit. Miles Ramsey, who works on Joseph Greenwards farm has deep feelings for one of the women, but both are drawn to Lawrence Vincent, a young doctor. Lawrence declares his love for Christa, triggering off a deep hatred in Megan, who has her cousin abducted and abused in the most appalling way.
