Science and innovation plays an increasingly important role in the growth of economies throughout the world. This two volume collection of previously published articles seeks to provide a comprehensive overview of this key area of the global economy.The first volume presents important material on scientific knowledge, including property rights and reward structures to the productivity of scientists.
