Alice Machado studied Modern Literature and Philosophy at the Sorbonne. She is the author of novels, poetry collections, essays, translated abroad. She was one of the guest writers at the Paris Book Fair. At the invitation of the Council of Europe, she contributed to the programme: "Europe, take care of yourself!" She participates in many international poetry festivals, multicultural forums, and several of her texts have appeared in European literary journals. She has been awarded the medal of honor by the Portuguese Parliament for her work as a whole. Her poem "The Giants", from the collection Éclats, is included in the Parliamentary Anthology of Poetry published by the French National Assembly.
