The Dragon and the Boar

When Henry Tudor defeated King Richard III at the Battle of Bosworth Field on August 22, 1485 and was crowned King Henry VII, he ushered in a new era for England that brought the kingdom into the early-modern period. However, little is known of Henry VII's life before the Battle of Bosworth Field. Using what little information on Henry's early exists, this is a fictional account of his life from the age of fourteen when he was forced to flee to France to his triumphant return to England fourteen years later. Chivalry, political intrigue, and medieval combat abound as young Henry Tudor strives to stay one step ahead of his enemies while gathering enough friends to help him claim his ancestral right.
