Amelia has loved Joel since before he married her sister and dashed all hopes of a happily ever after. Even years after her sister's death, Amelia knows Joel's heart can never be hers. It belongs to her sister forever. After the death of his wife, Joel spirals from grief and guilt. He loses his business, his home, and everything that matters to him, including Amelia.
