About the Author

Sarah McShea is a children's book author and full-time special education teacher at a high school near where she lives. She is also a mother to two beautiful boys: Rowan and Torryn. She was born in Weymouth, Massachusetts and has lived most of her life around the Boston area. When she is not writing, you can find her in the gym powerlifting, or drinking coffee while walking her favorite trails outdoors.



Sarah has a vision of providing hope and encouragement through her storytelling and characters to young children. She believes that any dautning, fearful circumstance can be faced with even a little bit of courage, just like the courageous crab Carter does.
