No constitution in this world, no matter how well-thought-out, has been able to provide the kind of selfless leaders that those who drafted it had in mind. As a result, much of what newspapers the world over contain is the same: a litany of reports about corrupt leaders of state, members of parliament, judges and other civil servants who are callously enriching themselves at the expense of fellow citizens. And this is because men's ideas have not been able to deal with the underlying problem, which is the sinful heart of man. In this book, Dr. Mathiang explores the problem of human depravity, how it has affected the three main arms of government-the executive, the legislature and the judiciary- and how the instructions in the infallible Word of God could be used to deal with the hearts of public servants and, consequently, lead to all people benefitting from the resources with which God has endowed their nation.
