The Cookbook to Die for

When neighbors and best friends Ella Devlin and India Howard get bored, people die. It's not intentional-but results are still the same in this quirky cozy, "The Cookbook to Die For." Ella and India live the Phoenix suburbanite life of mini vans, soccer games and PTA meetings. Left at home to raise children and keep house while their husbands are working and playing in the city, the two best friends dabble in "Trio" an event planning business with countess-in-exile and uber mystery woman CeeCee St. Clair. On most days they indulge in their first drink by noon and loll around by the pool till dinner. Suddenly, CeeCee cleans out Trio's bank accounts and ends up dead and the girls soon find themselves in hot water with their vendors, clients and Patrick and Nick: the husbands. Just as things couldn't seem to get worse, Patrick and Nick run off and leave the girls with all the bills, seven kids and chaos. Enter Gonzo: a former secret service guy who is as mysterious as he is a good Catholic. As one of Ella's closest friends, he offers to unravel the mystery of the missing men, dead countess and the stolen money before Ella and India wind up in jail or rehab. But even Gonzo wasn't prepared for the cross dressing hypnotist and a well-coiffed PTA president.
